Southend LuminoCity is a walking light trail which takes place around Southend High Street and the seafront.

Here you will find all access information to enjoy the festival to it's fullest:

  • The complete trail is approx. 1.2 miles.

  • Access to Southend seafront from the High Street is via Pier Hill, which is unsuitable for wheelchair users due to the steep incline. There are lifts to and from the seafront, which are located at the bottom of the High Street. During the festival they will be open until 10pm.

  • The rest of Southend's High Street and seafront is flat and easily accessible.

  • The festival takes place outside during the day and night, although most installations are viewed at their best after dark.

  • The streets will be very busy at times. All installations will be on flat accessible surfaces. Stewards will be on hand for any access advice.

  • Please be aware all installations are illuminated and may include flashing lights.
